Perdizes House

The house is organised around the light that comes in from the west. The large window frames are not a facade gesture: they set where the family gathers through the day, and the rest of the programme settles around them.
Timber appears in the frames and floors, against the exposed concrete of the slabs. It is a pair of materials that ages well and needs no cladding — the house ends where the structure ends.
